Strategic Plan
The Pulteney Football Club has developed an extensive Strategic Plan that outlines the direction in which we want the Club to head in the coming years, both on and off the field. A summary of this plan is available here: Click here to view the summary of our strategic plan History Founded in 1936, the Pulteney Football Club (formerly the Pulteney Old Scholars Football Club) plays in the South Australian Amateur Football League. In 2009 the Club is fielding two teams in Division 5, and the C Grade in Division 5C.
The club has won 9 A Grade premierships:1955, 1961, 1963, 1979, 1987, 1998, 1999,2000 and 2009, 4 B Grade premierships: 1973, 1974, 1998 & 2000, and a C Grade premiership in 1974.
Our home is the historic Morgan Oval, on the corner of South Terrace and Pulteney Street in the Adelaide Parklands. A specially formed coterie group, the Blues Brothers, is working hard to secure exciting upgrades to our facilities. Pulteney has produced some wonderful footballers over the years, including Magarey Medallists Michael Aish and Josh Francou, SANFL premiership player Ryan Potter and Port and Crows legend Bruce Abernethy.
Other Club legends include: Alan Wheaton: 400+ games and 1974 C Grade premiership coach Ivan Hooper (1936): quadruple League medallist, state representative and coach Fab Morgan: PFC great, premiership coach and goal umpire 'Hall of Fame' inductee Craig Pettigrew: League medallist and captain of 1987 Div 2 premiership side Michael Kalleske: 300+ games, triple premiership player, state representative and League medallist Steve Matchett: Threepeat premiership coach
Aishy, Josh and Darren “Boof” Lehmann actually suited up for the B Grade in 2008 and who knows, a return might be on the cards this year! This year we also welcome former Crows players Ian Perrie and Nathan Bassett to the PFC community.

. 2009 Senior Coach: Adam Silvy The Club’s senior playing coach is Adam Silvy. Silvs has come to us this year with many years’ senior football experience with Blackwood, PHOS Camden, and a stint at the Bays. He has established himself as a fierce competitor and cunning tactician with plenty of football smarts. Putting the boys through a strenuous preseason has made everyone fighting fit for the 2009 season, and we’re all looking forward to seeing him in action this year
Assistant Coaches: Michael Kalleske/Mick Harper Michael Kalleske is a Pulteney Football Club legend, having racked up over 15,000 goals in 2,398 appearances over several decades. So he’d have you believe if you listened to him.
Mick Harper brings to us a wealth of knowledge from years involvement in the game. A life member of Blackwood FC, Mick has most recently held roles at Sturt as U/19 Coach, Reserves Assistant Coach and Talent Manager. A keen study of the game, Mick’s insights into tactics and gameday experience will be of great benefit to us this year.
B Grade Coach: B Grade coach for 2009 is Peter Hamam. It would certainly take a brave man to question Hammo’s commitment to creating a stronger-than-ever B Grade this year. Peter’s infectious enthusiasm, passion and football knowledge will stand us in great stead this year as the B Grade pushes for a return to September action. Aaron Bahr is this year's B Grade assistant coach, having coached the side for the previous 4 years.
C Grade Coach: Stepping in for Piet Haverhoek for the remainder of the 09 season are Adam Krawczyk and Lawson Hannaford.
