PFC Jazz n Blues Day wrap |
|
The first Pulteney FC Jazz n Blues Day was held on Sunday 18 October in perfect weather among the Pulteney Grammar School's Alan Wheaton House courtyard. It was a superb day of food, wine and music, expertly managed by Moya Hamam and her team of Bluebirds (too numerous to mention individually). Thanks go out to everyone involved on the day, including old scholar Tim "Juliet" Haslam on jazz piano, the footy bloys for bar and BBQ support, the many parents and friends who donated silent auction items and of course, the unquestionable highlights of the day, Igor Bajjev and Mark Bourchier, who both shaved off their moustaches and beards respecitvely, which of course they'd been sporting since 1974!
The day was a complete success and also helped raise vital funds for the club. A superb effort.
Congratulations also go to Club Captain Dan Bonython, who proposed to his long-term girlfriend and head Bluebird Mel Radbone that day before following a long walk to the top of Mt Lofty. Thankfully, she said yes - would've been an awkward trip back down!
